“you asked me to paint you a picture

but i didn’t know where to start

when i asked what of, you replied

‘just show me a work of art’

so i painted with strokes as big as your smile

with colours as bright as your eyes

every corner of the canvas as sharp as your thoughts

this masterpiece came as no surprise

you asked me to paint you a picture

and exactly a work of art i drew

so why were you so surprised to see

that i had painted you?
